FAQ:
1. What does it cost to outsource to you?
My standard rates are detailed in the PDF guide you’ll be sent when you fill out the inquiry form below. Prices aren’t listed here publicly, because I need the personalized info about your business given in the inquiry form to give you an accurate pricing quote. Outsource editing is not always a one-size-fits-all situation, so I work with all of my photographers to create the outsourcing experience that best fits their business.
2. What are your turn-around times?
For 2024, all portrait sessions will be completed and back to you within 5 business days, and weddings within 2 weeks unless otherwise discussed with you.
3. Do I need to outsource ALL of my sessions to you if we partner?
Nope! You can send me just a portion of your sessions, or all of them. There’s no minimum or maximum amount of galleries required for my clients. Plus, if at any point in the year you’d like to take a little break for a few weeks and then pick back up again when you’re busier, you are absolutely welcome to do so!
4. Can i book in the beginning of the year, even if I don’t want to begin sending you galleries for a few months?
Absolutely! In fact, I recommend booking as soon as you know you’d like to outsource, because my editing spots for each year are limited. Even if you only want to send me galleries during fall, go ahead and get booked in the beginning of the year so your spot is secured!
5. What types of sessions are you willing to edit?
At this time I am accepting all types of portrait sessions and weddings, EXCEPT newborns! Preference is given to photographers who hope to outsource consistently throughout the year, but I also work with photographers who want to outsource for only a few months at a time.
6. Does my photography style have to match my editor’s photography style?
Not at all! Since I will be matching your images to your own anchor edits, I’m able to edit for any type of style. I currently have long-term clients with styles all across the spectrum from dark and moody to light and airy, and everything in between! Doing a test gallery is the best way to determine if I will be a good fit for you. To get an idea of my editing skill level, all the images you see on my site were shot and edited by me.
7. Do I need to use Lightroom to outsource to you?
Yes! Due to the need for catalogs and smart previews to send galleries back and forth, you do need to use Lightroom for outsourcing to me. You also need to be using the most updated version of Lightroom Classic.
8. What kind of editing adjustments do you do?
Outsourcing to me will include Lightroom adjustments, no Photoshop. I’ll match your images to your anchor edits using all adjustments available such as exposure, white balance, HSL adjustments, etc. I’ll also be doing minor cropping and straightening, blemish removal, and matching any and all brushwork/masking you do. This way, you’ll receive galleries back that are either completely ready for delivery, or ready for you to put your few final touches on them and then deliver.
9. Do i need a dropbox account to work with you?
Nope! Everything is done through my own Dropbox.
10. If I decide to outsource to you, am I locked into a contract for a certain amount of time?
Nope! The contract is simply to outline expectations and policies, and set us up for a positive working partnership. While my goal with every editing client is to foster a long-term working relationship, if at any time you feel like I am not the best fit for you, or you are no longer in a position to outsource, you can end our contract by written notice, no strings attached.
