Outsourcing is right for you if any of the following resonates with you:

⟶You feel stuck because you want to increase your income by taking on more clients, but you don’t have time to take on more clients.

⟶You sometimes or frequently have a very long editing to-do list and feel like you’re never “caught up.”

⟶You have a long turn-around time for your clients and want to get them their images faster.

⟶You often feel overwhelmed with your photography business, whether that’s just during busy season or most of the year.

⟶You feel like you spend way too much time working and wish you had more time for your personal life without reducing your income.

⟶You sometimes find yourself behind on editing and having to extend your turn-around times for clients, especially during busy season.

⟶You feel guilty taking time off because your entire editing list get’s put on hold in order to do so.

⟶You wish you wouldn’t have to worry about getting sick and getting behind on all of your work.

I’ve been where you are!

When I was doing my portrait photography business full time, known as Naturally Vivid Photography, I answered “yes” to all those questions too. I was at the point in my business where I had hit a wall. I needed to bring in more income, I had enough potential clientele to keep growing, but there just weren’t enough hours in the day to grow my business and still have the work-life balance that I wanted. I knew the answer was to find a kick-ass private photo editor to send my galleries to, so I could spend more time actually photographing and serving my clients. The issue was, I was so particular about the way I edited my images and all the minute adjustments I made, the thought of handing over my sessions to someone else legitimately terrified me. I put so much time and effort into each and every portrait session, that I was doubtful I could ever find an editor that would care as much as I did.

Life sure does have a funny way of working out, because now I get to BE the type of editor for other photographers, that I had been looking for when I was in your seat!

For each of my private editing clients, I promise to:

  • Take just as much care with your images as your private photo editor, as I do with my own.

  • SAVE you time, not take up even more of it! Every part of my process is designed to be as convenient as possible for you.

  • Bring my extreme attention to detail and reliability to ensure you can provide your clients with a fast and consistent turn-around time.

  • Work closely with you to ensure my edits always match your own, even if your style changes and evolves throughout our partnership.

  • Be the behind-the-scenes support you need to grow the business of your dreams, while having the work-life balance of your dreams.

Client love

“I was on the fence about outsourcing for months. I could not wrap my head around the technical part of it and I was so hesitant to give up the control over my own work. But I knew it needed to happen to be able to continue to grow my business and keep my sanity. When I came across Becca I immediately felt encouraged and she was just so helpful and patient with me as I figured out what I was doing. Her ability to match my style is incredible and she can probably edit my work better than I can at this point. She is so easy to work with, professional, timely and her work is amazing. She has been invaluable to my business, and she is absolutely worth every penny!”

-Andrea Kelley Photography

"I started working with Becca last year, and I cannot say enough how much of a LIFESAVER she is! I originally had another editor, but found myself re-editing so many images when I'd receive a gallery back, so I knew it was time for a change. Because of this I was skeptical about outsourcing my editing again, but Becca instantly took away all of my fears. She edited a sample gallery for me, and every image came back perfect, no tweaks needed! She captured my style so quickly, and went above and beyond on every image, copying over every little edit. Not only is she a Lightroom wizard that saves me SO much time, but she is genuinely a nice person who is SO easy to communicate with. She always responds to my emails so quickly and with such kind words, I enjoy every interaction I have with her! If you are hesitant to outsource your editing, just know that I was in the same boat and Becca changed the game for me. I have no fears sending images her way and will be forever grateful for the time she gave back to me."

“I looked high and low for editors, made a list of different editors there styles what they offer the cost, and what I needed. As a photographer, I felt like I was giving up a part of my craft by outsourcing my editing but in order to grow I needed to delegated some tasks that someone else can do for me! When I found Becca and she was willing to taking on the big task of getting my style exactly how I wanted it. Mind you, I wanted brushwork and that can be very detailed and time-consuming. I find Becca is very easy to communicate with and takes correction amazing. Every time we work together I seem to keep being amazed by the work she does. This has given me more time to take on a bigger workload along with spending time with family, friends, and in my church community. I am so thankful to have found Becca and am excited for my business to keep growing because of her.”

How outsourcing works:

 1. Fill out the inquiry form below:

My goal is to save you time, not take up all of your time! So when you fill out the inquiry form below, within 1 business day you’ll be sent a PDF guide with current pricing and turn-around times.

2. Test gallery and booking your spot:

After receiving the PDF guide, you can choose between seeing example galleries from other clients I edit for if you’d like to save time on your end, or I can do a complimentary test gallery for you. The test gallery can either be a current session you need to edit if you have one, or a past session, and will be finished within 3 days. When I send back your finished gallery, you’ll also receive the contract and retainer invoice to officially secure your spot with me if you’d like to! The retainer fee is $250 and is put towards each of your editing invoices until it is ALL used, no time-frame attached.

3. Send me your galleries:

Once you’re booked, you’re welcome to begin sending me galleries right away if you’d like to! The process for sending your galleries is so simple, and you’ll be able to work it into your workflow seamlessly. I’ll send you all the instructions, but all you’ll do is import your galleries into LR like usual and build smart previews upon import, edit a few anchor images for each gallery, export the catalog, and upload it to my Dropbox. After you receive the finished gallery back, simply download it to your computer, open the catalog in LR, review it and add any final touches if you’d like to, and export your images like usual.

4. Payment:

My clients also enjoy the convenience of paying just one invoice at the end of each month, for that entire month’s outsourced sessions, rather than having to pay before or immediately after each and every gallery. This means outsourcing to me is truly saving you time overall, rather than saving you editing time but increasing your admin work time.

FAQ:

 1. What does it cost to outsource to you?

My standard rates are detailed in the PDF guide you’ll be sent when you fill out the inquiry form below. Prices aren’t listed here publicly, because I need the personalized info about your business given in the inquiry form to give you an accurate pricing quote. Outsource editing is not always a one-size-fits-all situation, so I work with all of my photographers to create the outsourcing experience that best fits their business.

2. What are your turn-around times?

For 2024, all portrait sessions will be completed and back to you within 5 business days, and weddings within 2 weeks unless otherwise discussed with you.

3. Do I need to outsource ALL of my sessions to you if we partner?

Nope! You can send me just a portion of your sessions, or all of them. There’s no minimum or maximum amount of galleries required for my clients. Plus, if at any point in the year you’d like to take a little break for a few weeks and then pick back up again when you’re busier, you are absolutely welcome to do so!

4. Can i book in the beginning of the year, even if I don’t want to begin sending you galleries for a few months?

Absolutely! In fact, I recommend booking as soon as you know you’d like to outsource, because my editing spots for each year are limited. Even if you only want to send me galleries during fall, go ahead and get booked in the beginning of the year so your spot is secured!

5. What types of sessions are you willing to edit?

At this time I am accepting all types of portrait sessions and weddings, EXCEPT newborns! Preference is given to photographers who hope to outsource consistently throughout the year, but I also work with photographers who want to outsource for only a few months at a time.

6. Does my photography style have to match my editor’s photography style?

Not at all! Since I will be matching your images to your own anchor edits, I’m able to edit for any type of style. I currently have long-term clients with styles all across the spectrum from dark and moody to light and airy, and everything in between! Doing a test gallery is the best way to determine if I will be a good fit for you. To get an idea of my editing skill level, all the images you see on my site were shot and edited by me.

7. Do I need to use Lightroom to outsource to you?

Yes! Due to the need for catalogs and smart previews to send galleries back and forth, you do need to use Lightroom for outsourcing to me. You also need to be using the most updated version of Lightroom Classic.

8. What kind of editing adjustments do you do?

Outsourcing to me will include Lightroom adjustments, no Photoshop. I’ll match your images to your anchor edits using all adjustments available such as exposure, white balance, HSL adjustments, etc. I’ll also be doing minor cropping and straightening, blemish removal, and matching any and all brushwork/masking you do. This way, you’ll receive galleries back that are either completely ready for delivery, or ready for you to put your few final touches on them and then deliver.

9. Do i need a dropbox account to work with you?

Nope! Everything is done through my own Dropbox.

10. If I decide to outsource to you, am I locked into a contract for a certain amount of time?

Nope! The contract is simply to outline expectations and policies, and set us up for a positive working partnership. While my goal with every editing client is to foster a long-term working relationship, if at any time you feel like I am not the best fit for you, or you are no longer in a position to outsource, you can end our contract by written notice, no strings attached.
